Bablo ResourcesDocs

Installation

Bablo Admin runs as one resource. The database tables are created by the resource itself, so there is nothing to import.

Download asset

To download the asset, you must have purchased it on your own CFX account. Otherwise, use the transfer system to move it to a different account.

After purchasing from our website, the asset is delivered to your CFX Portal. Download it there and put the bablo-admin folder in your resources folder.

Setup server.cfg

Your framework (es_extended, qb-core or qbx_core) must be started before bablo-admin, or it is not detected.

LUA
-- Cores first, never below
ensure es_extended or qb-core or qbx_core
ensure oxmysql
ensure ox_lib

-- Then bablo-admin
ensure bablo-admin

To hear a player’s voice while staff watch them (Monitoring, the live view in reports and spectate), Bablo Admin listens in on the voice server. That needs external voice connections turned on, so add this line too:

PLAINTEXT
set mumble_allowExternalConnections true

Without it everything else works, but live views have no sound and the console prints mumble_allowExternalConnections is off.

That’s all you need to start. The lines below are optional: add only the ones for the features you use, above ensure bablo-admin. Each one is explained step by step on the page where you set that feature up.

Keys and tokens always go in server.cfg with set, never setr or sets, and never in config.lua. setr and config.lua are sent to every player, and sets shows the value in the public server list.

Database

Nothing to import. On the first start the resource creates every bablo_admin_* table it needs, and later updates add their new tables and columns on their own. The console prints a line such as database schema 26 installed when that happens.

Become the owner

Staff members and their ranks are stored in the database. A fresh install has four ranks (Owner, Admin, Moderator and Support) and no staff, so the first thing to do is make yourself the owner. Use one of these:

While nobody is staff yet, the first server admin who runs /admin becomes the owner. A server admin is anyone with txAdmin admin, the ACE command, QBCore god or admin, ESX admin or superadmin, or Qbox admin.

This only works while the staff list is empty. Turn it off with Config.FirstAdminSetup = false.

When the staff list is empty, the server console prints these options at every start, so you can always find them again.

Open the menu

WhatDefaultChange it with
Admin menu/adminConfig.Command
Admin menu keyF9Config.OpenKey
Quick menuF10 or /quickmenuConfig.QuickMenu
Show the mouse in the quick menuALTConfig.QuickMenu
Noclip/noclipConfig.NoClipCommand
Player report window/reportConfig.ReportCommand

Every staff member can change their own quick menu keys in the admin menu under Your settings → Keybinds. The values in Config.QuickMenu are the defaults for new staff. Staff can also bind a key to any quick menu toggle, like noclip or player names, under Settings → Key Bindings → FiveM.

If another resource already uses /admin (for example qb-adminmenu), stop that resource or change Config.Command to something else such as badmin.

Next steps

  • Add your staff team and give each rank its permissions under Staff. See Staff & Ranks.
  • Link the Web Panel to run the server from your browser.
  • Add the Discord Bot to your Discord server.
  • If remote spectate shows black screens for some players, set up a TURN Server.
